Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry recently launched a supply chain and logistics category for the forthcoming Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum (MRM) Business Awards.

The category has been introduced to honour excellence within the supply chain, with companies that operate in the United Arab Emirates being invited to submit their nominations at www.mrmbizawards.ae until 20th November 2008.

"The sole purpose of the MRM Business Awards is rewarding the business people who have reached excellence. As this important initiative is linked to its patron, the winners can look forward to the great feeling of receiving their award from HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum," said Atiq Juma Nasib, executive director of commercial services department, Dubai Chamber.

"We have created the supply chain and logistics category to acknowledge this sector's contribution to the economic development of the United Arab Emirates. Last year we included the real estate development category and perhaps we will focus on other sectors in the coming years too," he added.
