LUXURY BRAND: Emirates Motor Company has revealed plans to open the world's largest Mercedes-Benz facility in the world.

Plans were announced on Wednesday to open the world’s largest Mercedes-Benz facility in Abu Dhabi in the first quarter of 2009.

The announcement was made by the Al Fahim Group’s Emirates Motor Company (EMC) who said the new headquarters in the Mussafah district would include a showroom, service centre with more than 250 work-bays, a spare parts centre, a multi-storey parking lot and staff accommodation.

Saeed Abdul Jalil Al Fahim, chairman of Al Fahim Group, said: “The new facility underscores our continuous efforts in setting industry standards and relentlessly working towards achieving them.

"Establishing the largest mixed-use Mercedes-Benz facility in the world will mark the realisation of one of the company’s key objectives while placing Abu Dhabi on the global map for cutting edge automotive centres.

“The new EMC facility will also reflect the rich partnership legacy that we share with Mercedes-Benz, one of the most reputed automobile brands in the world. We believe the landmark facility will further consolidate our business relationship and help us cater to the growing consumer base in the region.”

The new facility will also feature panoramic lifts, glass exteriors and environmentally sustainable concepts, the company added.

Al Fahim added: “We are very proud of our accomplishments over the past five decades. We believe the new EMC facility will mark an emphatic new beginning and greatly facilitate our long-term growth.”

Reflecting modern design aesthetics, the new energy efficient office structure has been built with three vertical openings ascending to the roof for filtering in daylight to add a sense of spaciousness to the facility.

With the new facility, EMC will become one of the most prominent Mercedes-Benz distributors globally.
