Dubai-based airline Emirates said on Saturday it had extended its sponsorship of French football team Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) until 2014.

Emirates said its branding would continue in the club's Parc des Princes stadium, as would its ‘Fly Emirates’ logo on the team shirt.

Emirates has been a sponsor of PSG since 2005 and the club’s main shirt sponsor since 2006.

“We are thrilled that Emirates Airline has decided to continue its commitment to Paris Saint-Germain as the official club sponsor,” PSG chairman Charles Villeneuve said in a statement.

“It shows us that Emirates is a true investor in the sport of football and intends to help us achieve our goals every step of the way.”
