The Al Noor Training Centre for Children with Special Needs has been equipped with a complete security solution across their network, pcs and servers. The solution was designed, implemented and deployed by security integrator Paramount and vendor Trend Micro.

The school currently has six servers and 100 computers all networked and the solution has been designed to protect them against all types of data theft, malware and other threats.

“Our IT systems have been plagued by viruses and malware problems, upsetting the functioning of our training centre and causing a lot of security concerns. We were pleased to have Paramount and Trend Micro approach us and provide us with free software licenses, installation and training. The system installation has been a big success and we are very grateful for the smart and simple solution that is ideal for our school,” says Ms. Isphana Al Khatib, director, Al Noor Training Centre.

Paramount had a security consulting team on-site to integrate the security software into the school’s network. The Trend Micro solution is designed to protect the school’s valuable assets and information, effectively blocking web-based threats and other malware. The bundled InterScan Messaging Hosted Security blocks the spam before it reaches the schools network.

Trend Micro’s web threat protection hosted security technologies are constantly updated, requiring no configuration or local maintenance, and do not slow down computers. Multi-layer spam blocking means spam is stopped at the datacentre before it reaches the Email Server. According to the company this approach ensures network bandwidth, servers and disk space are not clogged with spam.

“We are happy to have been able to assist Al Noor which is passionately committed to helping special needs children integrate into society. We believe that the IT security implementation is a small contribution towards our corporate social responsibility and we assure them of our continued support and patronage”, said Mr Premchand Kurup, CEO, Paramount.
