Dubai Industrial City has started a campaign to lease around 2.8 million square metres of open storage space, with 60% already reserved by companies in the Middle East.

The open storage area, which is located in close proximity to the port and free zone in Jebel Ali, will be managed by transPARK, an end-to-end logistics provider that operates under the Dubai Industrial City umbrella.

“We have received a positive response towards the open storage area, with 60% of the allocated space already leased,” said Rashed Al Ansari, vice president of Dubai Industrial City. “We have been working closely with our clients to optimise the utilisation of our land and offer services and facilities for their daily operational needs. Our flexible storage solutions will help to meet diverse market requirements, while allowing us to bridge the shortage of storage facilities in Dubai.”

The open storage yards have been designed to comply with global quality standards and feature a range of security measures, such as flood lights and a perimeter fence.

“This is one of our dedicated services that will complement our warehouse storage facilities. As a result of the strong demand, we are planning to increase the area available for open storage,” Al Ansari added. “We aim to offer more such innovative solutions for the benefit of industrial investors in our endeavor to create an enabling destination for global brands.”
