Pre-paid Thuraya phone subscribers can now recharge their accounts by phone or online through a new partnership with Australian-based FoneRecharge.
Before availing of the ThurayaRecharge service, customers need to register on FoneRecharge website to purchase air time.
Once registered, customers can use their credit card to purchase air time online through the website or by making a phone call to a toll-free number.
The new service will make it easier for customers to recharge their accounts, which previously involved the use of scratch cards, e-vouchers or contacting a Thuraya Service Provider directly.
“ThurayaRecharge is a streamlined service that is so simple to use, and so appropriate for our voice users, especially those who are located in the remotest of areas. Customers now are guaranteed air time at all times making Thuraya the ideal communication solution because they have access to vast coverage, an extremely advanced telephone and constant capacity for communication,” said Thuraya’s CCO Dr. Sven Rohte in a company statement.
