The first Ubuntu ARM desktops and notebooks will be ready by April 2009

The Linux-based Ubuntu desktop operating system will be used in ARM’s new line of energy-efficient netbooks and desktop computers.

ARM is best known for designing chips used in smartphones and now plans to expand into other device categories.

The first line of Ubuntu ARM desktops and notebooks is expected to be available in April 2009.
