MySpace has released a new mobile application for BlackBerry smartphones that allows users to remain connected to their social network when on the go.
With a customized mobile interface, MySpace members can access a number of special features through their BlackBerry. This includes camera integration and photo management that allows users to upload images to their profile instantly, real-time status and mood updates, and notification of new message and friend requests.
“This new application, specifically designed for BlackBerry, takes the MySpace mobile experience to a whole new level,” said Travis Katz, managing director of MySpace International.
“Now MySpace's 120 million active users will have easier access to their friends, photos and content anywhere they are, at any time, providing another great step in the growth of MySpace Mobile,” Katz added.
Availability of the application reflects MySpace’s recent focus on its mobile business as part of its overall global business strategy. According to the company, the MySpace Mobile website receives more than two million daily unique mobile visits.
If you want to download the application, visit www.blackberry.com/myspace or m.myspace.com from your BlackBerry web browser and follow the instructions.
