Autodesk, along with Autodesk Training Centre (ATC) Applied Digital Media Services (ADMS) and Autodesk reseller Mediasys, will be holding a series of launch events in Dubai on 25-27 November for the Middle East’s first Autodesk Training Centre for systems products.

On Tuesday 25 November, Autodesk will host an exclusive VIP preview for the media and invited customers. Autodesk will demo the latest features of its Autodesk Flame 2009 visual effects system and Autodesk Smoke 2009 editing and finishing system.

On Wednesday 26 and Thursday 27 November, Autodesk will mark the official opening of the ATC by offering free hands-on training sessions on Autodesk Flame 2009 and Autodesk Smoke 2009 systems.

ADMS has invested in Autodesk Flame and Autodesk Smoke systems to expand its range of digital media training courses in response to increasing demand for properly trained Smoke and Flame artists. It aims to target expert users in need of advanced training in the broadcast and film markets in the UAE and surrounding Gulf states, as well as countries such as Egypt and Lebanon.

“We’re very excited about the launch of our first systems ATC in what is a key growth region for our products,” said Simon Brett, Autodesk territory manager for media and entertainment systems. “Furthermore, we’re delighted to be able to offer these introductory free training sessions as part of the launch to give artists a taste of the creative skills they can master on ADMS’ courses.”
