The latest and greatest innovations from the beverage technology industry will come together in Dubai next month at the Dubai Drink Technology Expo 2008 (DDTE).

The three-day event aims to promote the latest drink processing and packaging systems, light machinery, equipment, materials and services to a variety of industry professionals, including retailers and manufacturers.

Abdul Salam Al Madani, president of organisers INDEX Holding, explained: "The MENA region beverages market is witnessing noticeable expansion associated with the elevation in the standard of living and with the increasing demand for healthy drinks, blended juices and lifestyle beverages.

"The expo acts as a platform for businesses and investors operating in the industry to network, negotiate and expand operations in Dubai, the Gulf and the Middle East," he said.

Exhibits at the event will include teas and coffees from around the world, recycling systems and the latest developments in liquid foods.

Dubai Conventions Bureau director Awad Al Saqair labelled DDTE "one of the key events held in Dubai and the Middle East".

"It plays a key role in the transfer of technology, know-how and innovations in one of our most important industries," Al Saqair added.

The exhibition will take place at the Dubai Convention and Exhibition Centre from December 14-16.
