Abu Dhabi is planning to stage the biggest fireworks display in the world as part of the celebrations to mark UAE national day on Dec. 2, state news agency WAM reported on Saturday.
WAM said the display would begin at 8.30pm and last for 45 minutes would be visible along the corniche and across the marina. It did not give any other details about the display.
WAM said the fireworks were one of several events being organised by Emirates Palace to mark the 37th National Day.
The hotel will be putting on various cultural, musical and artistic events to mark the occasion, including the displaying the UAE's biggest greeting card, at 7.5 metres high, WAM said.
It said the hotel would also stage an evening laser show between Dec. 1-3 that would start at 6pm.
