UAE systems integrator Itqan and global IT services heavyweight Capgemini India have struck an alliance that will see the pair jointly address the local enterprise market.
Itqan insists the deal is designed to accentuate its market expertise and Capgemini’s global best practices to explore the IT needs of firms operating in the Middle East.
The duo, which held an event in Abu Dhabi last week to mark the beginning of their collaboration, believe the relationship will help provide an international angle to Itqan’s portfolio of services. Both companies boast an array of skills in solutions from vendors such as Microsoft, Oracle and SAP.
“The new alliance gives us an advantage in handling mega projects by providing integrated systems and solutions adapted to the specific needs of the local and regional client, especially in the fields of energy, public sector, healthcare, education and telecommunications,” said Feras Al Jabi, general manager at Itqan.
Salil Parekh, head of financial services for India and Asia Pacific at Capgemini, says the partnership represents a “new era” for its Middle East operations.
“Itqan’s immense knowledge and understanding of the local market, when combined with our proven global expertise, will enable the alliance to create a significant differentiator in the region and build the necessary momentum in one of the fastest growing IT markets in the world,” commented Parekh.
