Premier Inn checks-in to Oman
by ArabianBusiness.com staff writer on Monday, 01 December 2008
Premier Inn will develop properties in Oman after a joint venture was signed with His Excellency Abdul Alim Bin Mustahail Bin Naseeb Rakhyoot.
The initial plan will see the budget brand introduced to three sites across the country, with Muscat, Sohar and Salalah earmarked to receive the first flags.
Premier Inn managing director Darroch Crawford said the company was now in the process of finalising sites for development.
"Salalah, Sohar and Muscat are our target towns at the moment - in fact with Muscat, we have now come to the conclusion that we will probably start with two hotels," he said. "We believe there is an opportunity for a Premier Inn toward the direction of the airport and toward the other end of the city."
