Google appoints new enterprise partner in Saudi

Jeel Internet Services, part of the National Technology Group (NTG), has been appointed as a Google Enterprise Partner in Saudi Arabia by Google Enterprise and its leading Value Added Distributor in the MENA region, FVC.

As part of the new agreement, Jeel will offer a range of Google products and solutions to corporate and SMB customers in the country.

"We are very pleased with this partnership and see great success for Google Enterprise in the Kingdom. We will be investing in direct resources to promote Google's offerings to our existing enterprise customers in the Kingdom," said Rashid M. Al-Ballaa, group general manager, NTG/Jeel.

Google's Enterprise search products, including Google Search Appliance and Google Mini, offer a similar search experience to Google.com and are used by over 10,000 businesses around the world.

Additionally, the company’s message security and compliance services are powered by Postini to offer more than 14 million users email accounts that are free of spam and viruses.

"This is an important step for us. The Middle East and Saudi Arabia in particular is a major market opportunity for us. It was key for us to find the right partner and I think that we have found this in JEEL. We look forward to working with FVC and their partners to extend the reach of our Google Enterprise Search and Security offerings," said Jesper Frederiksen, Google’s head of Enterprise EMEA.

I'm surprised Google and FVC went with Jeel. They're a very small ISP due mainly to a lack of investment. Awalnet would have been a much better choice...
