Emirates Computers wins accolade for CCTV project

Emirates Computers has won the prestigious ‘best security project’ award by EMC for its CCTV storage project for Dubai Airports Company.
The company was honored at the recent EMC Europe South annual awards function in Morocco.
Believed to the largest IT security project implementation in the EMEA region at a value of AED 22 million, it involved the implementation of EMC CLARiiON CX3 networked storage systems to store massive amounts of image and video data supplied by 1,800 CCTV cameras.
The project enabled Dubai Airports Company to deliver continuous intelligence to staff that needed to address security issues.

We are confident that the successful implementation of a project of this magnitude and scale will open doors to many more business opportunities for Emirates Computers and EMC in the region,” said Haytham Kamel, Emirates Computers’ VP and GM – Dubai & Northern Emirates.
