The first ever comprehensive analysis of Prince Alwaleed’s private wealth is to be published by Arabian Business on Sunday – including details of cash held in banks, land assets, his jewellery collection – and even his cars, boats and private planes.

Arabian Business has been given unprecedented access to all the Prince's financial dealings, following a lengthy meeting at his offices in Riyadh last week.

Full details of his wealth will be published as part of the Arabian Business Rich List 2008, which will also be published on Sunday.

Arabian Business editorial director Anil Bhoyrul said: “For the past 20 years everyone has only been able to guess at the wealth of His Royal Highness Prince Alwaleed, using stock market calculations.

"But that only accounts for half of it. For the first time ever – in cooperation with HRH himself and his advisors – we are now able to put a definitive figure, to the exact dollar, on his substantial wealth.

"What we are going to publish on Sunday is what everyone has tried and failed to do for over two decades.”

Arabian Business was given access to all of Prince Alwaleed’s private company holdings, and shown documentation that is presented to banks on a quarterly basis as part of his net worth statement.

Bhoyrul added: “As far as we know, only two people outside Prince Alwaleed himself have ever been shown this information – on Sunday, we will be able to share it with the world. This will bring to an end twenty years of speculation, particularly over the past five years.”

The Arabian Business Rich List 2008 – including a five-page special on the wealth of HRH Prince Alwaleed – will be published on Sunday 14 December 2008 in Arabian Business magazine, and available online here from 4am on Sunday.

PR Stunt?
Posted by AbuAnas, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Wednesday 10 December 2008 at 16:00 UAE time

Would that be a PR stunt from AlWaleed to re-shine his wealth image after he was heavily hit by the last economic crises?
