HP Middle East has appointed Samer Zein as the new director for the company’s Technology Services Group (TSG).
John Hoonhout, managing director of HP Middle East, had earlier taken on the role of acting TSG lead when ex-regional managing director, Joseph Hanania, announced his resignation last year.
Samer Zein, who joined the company in 2003, will now shoulder the responsibility of improving HP TSG’s profit and revenue growth in the region, reporting directly to John Hoonhout.
Prior to this new appointment, Samer managed the Technology Services unit in the UAE and Gulf cluster, which has consistently been the best performing in Middle East and EMEA for the last 3 years.
As director of HP technology services, Zein will manage the different elements of the business unit including enterprise product services, channel services, networking solutions, mission critical services, and data center transformation infrastructure and design services.
Zein’s main objective however is to double the revenue of technology services solutions by 2010.
