Iran software export market nearing $60 million

Iran’s software exports are expected to reach $60 million by March 21 this year, the country’s deputy commerce minister stated recently.
According to the IRNA, Mehdi Ghazanfari made the statement at a software export conference in Tehran, adding that the figure currently stood at $50 million as of December 21, 2008.
Ghazanfari also revealed that the average annual growth of software export was 8.5% for the years 1997 to 2007.
Iranian software is primarily exported to Uzbekistan, Zimbabwe, the United Arab Emirates, Canada, Germany, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Tajikistan and Malaysia.
