STME adds more ammo to services arsenal

Solutions provider STME is approaching the 2009 IT arena with vigour after announcing what it describes as aggressive expansion plans.

Despite the monetary crisis the firm claims it is seeking to take advantage of the excellent growth rates in the UAE's ICT sector witnessed over the past few years. Citing statistics from research house Madar Research, which state over 40% of all 2007 ICT contracts in the Middle East were signed in the emirates, STME says it wants to capitalise by offering more services this year.

"The year 2008 has been another breakthrough period for STME with the successful launch of our new line of professional services, which served as a catalyst for enhanced growth,” asserted Jocelyn Al-Adwani, CEO at STME.

It is this successful launch and the renewed call for solutions providers to develop further differentiations and offerings to combat tough times that has precipitated the decision to expand STME’s work.

“We have prepared to launch more innovative IT solutions that we believe will further strengthen our reputation and market stronghold as the UAE continues to showcase excellent growth prospects with companies increasingly relying on IT solutions to improve business value and competitiveness,” added Al-Adwani.

Although the firm did not state the exact details of the extra services it will be pushing, it did say it intends to complement its business consultancy and managed services which currently form the crux of its professional services line.

According to STME it is focused on designing cost-effective solutions based on the infrastructure-specific needs of customers and address market challenges through efficient solutions that require minimum cost and involvement.
