UAE-based Gulftainer claims the economic crisis has not affected its logistics handling business at local ports in 2008.

The port management and logistics company said volumes at Khorrfakkan Container Terminal and Sharjah Container Terminal (SCT) grew 15 percent compared with 2007.

Peter Richards, group director and general manager of Gulftainer, said the company hoped for continued growth this year, reported news agency WAM.
