Andy Murray defended his Qatar Open title with a superb straight-sets win over Andy Roddick on Saturday.
The Scot, showing no ill-effects from a back injury that saw him require treatment in his semi-final win over Roger Federer, triumphed 6-4 6-2.
The British number one broke Roddick to go 3-2 up in the opening set and was never troubled after that.
He controlled the second set with two consecutive breaks of serve and soon clinched his ninth career title.
