Aldar appoints new chief operating officer

Aldar Properties, Abu Dhabi's largest real estate developer, said on Sunday it has appointed Sami Asad as chief operating officer with immediate effect.
Asad had been acting COO since last October, having originally joined Aldar as technical director, the company said in a statement to the Abu Dhabi bourse.
Previously, he was deputy vice president of projects at Dolphin Energy for five years and before that occupied various managerial positions at Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC). (Reuters)
