IT management software firm CA is remaining positive on its growth in the Middle East region despite the economic downturn.

With several new customer wins and promising sales leads, CA is confident of further success, especially in the core areas of government and finance.

Maria Medvedeva, regional director of technical sales at CA EMEA revealed in a press briefing that regional customers are not resorting to “major IT budget cuts, but are instead advised to invest wisely”.

“Now, more than ever, IT has become essential and important in driving business value,” added Medvedeva.

Two new products have been introduced in the Middle East market - Service Desk Manager r12 and CA Clarity PPM.

CA Clarity PPM (Project and Portfolio Management) aims to improve IT governance by extending the benefits of PPM to not just IT but other areas of an enterprise.

Service Desk Manager r12 provides a unified solution that combines service desk, change management, configuration management database (CMDB), application dependency mapping, knowledge management, support automation and analytics into one unified product.

More than a hundred members have already signed up for CA’s user group for regional enterprise customers, which was set up in November last year. The online and face-to-face community allows members to post questions, provide feedback and share best practices.
