According to Sound and Stage's technical manager Rawad Saad, it took his crew, of four sound engineers and 12 technicians, a week to set-up the equipment in Abu Dhabi, five days in Al Ain and only three days in the west area.
He says to avoid sound reflections from the water his team used Elector-Voice's EV Laps programme to point and angle the speakers and implemented delay time to avert the areas that were susceptible to any kind of reflections or delays.
Additional entertainment to mark the 37th National Day celebrations, included the Caracalla Dance Theatre group, which performed a musical play titled Zayed and The Dream at Abu Dhabi's National Theatre.
The play by Maestro Abdul Halim Caracalla (ran over the three days) embodied both artistic and historical values to tell the story of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, founder of the UAE.
The musical was attended by Crown Prince and Deputy Commander of the UAE Armed Forces HH General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and was said to be the first theatre stage work of its kind in the emirate.
As part of the key festivities, the Emirates Palace Garden also provided the venue for a series of evening concerts that showcased Arabic music performed by Arab stars.
The free-to-attend, 7000 capacity concerts featured Arab singer Mohammed Abdo, who was supported by Lebanese songstress Elissa and UAE rising star Al Wasmy on the first evening.
While, the second night of the musical performances was headlined by UAE national star, Ahlam, who was supported by fellow UAE national star Al Jassmi and well-known Egyptian starlet, Sherin.
At the final concert, on December 4, the leading performers, included Syrian classic ballad singer, Asala and well-known Iraqi star Kadim Al Sahir, who was be supported by Emirati composer and performer Eida Al Menhaly.
Similar concerts were also held in Al Ain for more than 2500 people and in Madinat Zayed for around 1500 over the three nights.
To showcase the ancient roots of Arabic culture there were screenings of Falconry films on the hunting trips made by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
Additionally, the screenings were also to highlight the concerted efforts that have been made to have UNESCO list Falconry as a World Heritage and/or an Intangible Cultural Heritage.
