Saudi Arabian Central Bank Governor Hamad Saud al-Sayyari said on Wednesday inflation in the Gulf Arab oil exporter would fall noticeably in 2009.
"I expect inflation to fall in 2009," Sayyari told reporters on the sidelines of an Arab economic summit in Kuwait.
Inflation in the largest Arab economy fell to 9.5 percent in November from 10.4 percent in September.
"We expect this trend to continue in a noticeable way," he said, declining to give a precise forecast. (Reuters)
