Saudis to face Oman in Gulf Cup final

Saudi Arabia will meet hosts Oman in the final of the 2009 Gulf Cup after beating nine-times champions Kuwait 1-0 in their semi-final in Muscat on Wednesday night.

The Saudis went through to their seventh final after a second half strike from Ahmed al-Fraidi.

Oman beat Qatar 1-0 in the earlier semi-final.

Saudia Arabia and Oman will contest the final at the Sultan Qaboos stadium in Muscat on Saturday.

For Oman, it will be their third successive final of the regional tournament after losing previous finals to Qatar and the UAE.
