Arc's Sony website wins digital award

Dubai-based digital agency Arc has won a top trophy at the Interactive Media Awards for its Sony 'High Definition' website.

The site, www.sony-mea.com/hd, won 'best in class' in the retail category of the New York-based awards.

Sara Anani, creative director at Arc, said: "One of the challenges in the creation of a commercial website that is meant to illustrate a high quality visual experience is that we enable the website to work on screens that don't necessarily have this high level of technology. Our team worked hard to overcome this obstacle, and the IMA reflects our success in accomplishing that."

Websites judged at the IMA are scored on a points-based system with a maximum score of 500 possible Arc's Sony website scored 484.

Judges for the IMA are drawn from advertising, marketing, PR and broadcast experts from corporations such as, MTV, New Line Cinema, OgilvyOne Worldwide and Hill & Knowlton.
