Direct round trip from Kuwait to Dubai launches

Wataniya Airways’ CEO heralded a new dawn in Middle East aviation after the airline launched its inaugural flight from Kuwait to Dubai on Saturday morning.
The premium airline is offering the first direct flights to and from Kuwait City to Dubai - offering two return flights per day for business and leisure travellers.
CEO George Cooper said: “Today marks the beginning of a new era for Kuwait and the region’s aviation industry with the start of our scheduled flights providing high levels of comfort and convenience at competitive rates.”
The airline’s first service left Kuwait International Airport’s Sheikh Saad terminal on Saturday morning at 8.15am.
According to Cooper, the airline will provide direct, point to point flights to locations in the Middle East.
Wataniya’s plan to introduce services to Beirut and Bahrain were announced weeks prior to the airline’s launch.
Cooper also confirmed he wants to expand the carrier’s A320 fleet. Each plane has 26 first class and 96 premium economy seats.
Two flights leave Kuwait daily at 8.15 am, arriving in Dubai at 10.55am, and 6.25pm, arriving in Dubai at 9.05pm - local time.
Return flights leave Dubai at 11.55am, arriving in Kuwait at 12.45pm, and at 10.05pm, arriving in Kuwait at 10.55pm - local time.

First direct flight from Kuwait to Dubai? How come? Al Jazeera airlines flies straight from KWT to DXB and they have the best deals so far...3 times cheaper than Emirates Airlines. Let's see how much is Wataniya going to charge...
