UAE-based Imtac Technologies has set up a new company to provide technology solutions for the region’s healthcare industry, it was reported on Sunday.

Based in Dubai Healthcare City, iCT Health, will undertake the setting up of a health information exchange network that will connect healthcare regulatory authorities, healthcare providers, insurance companies, pharmacies and residents in the UAE.

The integrated network will be developed in partnership with top companies including Oracle and HP.

The company plans to launch a series of solutions based on the software-as-a-service (SAAS) framework, along with transaction fee-based pricing models, each complying with numerous healthcare standards and quality measures.

Estimating $2.5 billion in healthcare claims to be processed every year in Dubai alone, iCT Health foresees playing a key role in making processing technology available to healthcare providers for a nominal fee per patient.

"Our solution, in addition to being efficient, will bring about transparency and reduced costs while enhancing internal processes across companies operating in this sector," said Gautam Dey, COO of Imtac Technologies.

The service will be available to healthcare providers on a fee per patient basis.

Information garthered will also help shed light on common illnesses and health trends in the UAE, derived from data collected anonymously, which could be used to inform government healthcare policy, the company added in a statement.

It is good to know that all these things are happening in U.A.E but i want to share at same time want to know somethings, on one time we are going high tech at the other side i feel that we are leaving small but very important issues behind us. We are developing great things in terms of technology but when it comes to small things like for example .I.V.SETS, then why hospital wana choose a lower end product without quality whereas if we see it is the most critical product because it connects the patient directly same as many other products everyday i see dubai spending this much in healthcare but i feel they are not taking into accounts the common things which should be solved first.
