Qatar’s monthly water production during the fourth quarter of 2008 was up by 28 percent, compared to the same period in 2007, new figures reveal.

The average increase of water production during the whole year was 24 percent, a corporate performance review (CPR) of Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa) showed.

The Q4 CPR also revealed that electricity demand grew by 12.4 percent in 2008 but interruptions to the service decreased, Qatar daily The Peninsula reported on Monday.
