Mobily is to extend its campaign to get Saudi pre-paid mobile subscribers to update their personal details on their accounts.
The operator will continue to run its Hawiyyati (My Identity) campaign until the end of this year.
The campaign was launched in October of last year, on the orders of the Saudi Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC). The campaign was initiated to protect subscribers from fraud and to deal with problems caused by unidentifiable or anonymous mobile users.
Mobily said that “hundreds of thousands” of prepaid subscribers had responded to its campaign, which offered a prize drawer for a car every day.
