First Gulf completes deal to buy 1.04m shares

MONEY WISE: First Gulf has bought back 12.69m shares under a plan approved in Nov.

First Gulf Bank said on Thursday it had bought back 1.04 million of its shares a day earlier under a buyback scheme at 7.65 dirhams ($2.08) per share.

First Gulf has bought back 12.69 million shares under a plan approved in November, it said in a statement on the bourse website.

Wednesday's purchase of shares amounted to 0.756 percent of the bank's total share capital, it said. (Reuters)
