The days of the perception that Saudi workers are unproductive, irresponsible, tea loving, phone chatters, late-comers-early-goers is GONE!
A new wave of young dedicated and hard working professionals is sweeing the Kingdom.
How did i get to that conclusion? Well I am living it 8 hours a day, 5 days a week.
I am the only expatriate worker in our department and I have seen them work long hours without even demanding Overtime. They face up to the challenges, responsibly performs their tasks and treats everyone around them with respect, from their directors to the cleaners of their desks.
In my opinion, having a strong and impressive family background, excellent upbringing and a strong desire to suceed inspired them to do their best and continue to play an active role in the progress of the company they are working in and the Kingdom.
I give my hats off to all of them!
Sincerely,
Yusuf

I have trained over 1000 managers in Saudi Arabia and the process is no different than anywhere else in the world. The success is hidden in the way candidates are chosen. Not everybody can be trained anytime but a lot of people can be trained sometime. That sometime is when people are hungry to achieve potential results because of expectations of first outcomes producing desired second outcomes. I have instances where my trainees were so eager, it was difficult to hold them back in quest for knowledge, yet other times some trainees spent more time in fidgeting and clock watching that even I got bored to teach. So, include Maslow and Hertzberg into equation and add a bit of hunger, stimulate behaviour whilst altering it to desired mode then you will have 1000's of perfect Saudi trainees and future managers.
