Sound & Stage Awards 2009: Your time to shine

The second annual Sound & Stage Awards, which will take place at a prestigious five-star hotel in Dubai on April 26, will play host to more than 200 of the region's leading industry professionals and pay tribute to the industry's achievements over the past 12 months.

The awards will recognise those individuals and companies that underpin and actively contribute to the continued growth of the professional audio, lighting, AV integration and live event/entertainment production industries throughout the Middle East.

In recognition of the industry's growth over the past 12 months, the 2009 Sound & Stage Awards have been revised to include categories that acknowledge the efforts made by a greater number of industry players.

The awards will also highlight the professional and technical excellence demonstrated by key players across various industry sub sectors, from lighting and live sound design and systems integration to live event production, promotion and operational health and safety practices.

Additionally, to foster the continued development of up-and-coming talent across the region, Sound & Stage is proud to announce the inaugural Young Achiever of the Year Award.

The awards signify our enthusiasm and commitment to you, the industry, and as the industry continues to mature, Sound & Stage will continue to lend its support.

Nominations from across the region have already been flooding in from companies and individuals keen to take out the industry's top-honours during this year's ceremony.

The prestigious programme boasts 15 awards, which are up-for-grabs for individuals, companies and organisations working within the Middle East.

The success of the awards does, however, hinge on your active participation.

Nominations can be made via the awards website until the closing date on March 12.
