It's that time of the year again, when excitement slowly begins to mount in anticipation of what CABSAT and the Digital Studio Awards hold in store for the Middle East production and broadcasting industry.

The Digital Studio Awards, which is in its fifth year now, has especially received a lot of nominations this year for all of its thirteen categories.

With the number of small, new generation production houses mushrooming across the Middle East and new markets in the GCC opening up, more and more people are looking for avenues to showcase how their work is different, innovative and can add more value to this market.

Digital Studio
Awards is the ideal platform to showcase this talent and be acknowledged for work that might otherwise go unrecognised.

Alongside the awards is CABSAT, the main event for the broadcast and production industries in the Middle East. CABSAT is the metaphorical yardstick that most industry professionals use to gauge the growth of the market in the Middle East and over the years, this event has gone from strength to strength.

60 new exhibitors will be coming to the event this year. There is a lot of new interest from Abu Dhabi as well this year.

On another note, we are also seeing a lot of activity in Saudi Arabia, a country about which very little information has been available to date. As one of the biggest markets in the GCC, Saudi Arabia is increasingly on the radar and we intend to cover the Kingdom in some upcoming print issues of Digital Studio. Watch this space.
