Fujitsu Siemens Computers’ have reported substantial growth in the regional notebook market despite fears that a recession could affect demand.
Citing figures from research analyst group IDC, Fujitsu Siemens posted an impressive year-on-year (YoY) increase of 242% in Egypt. The company ranked among the top five vendors in Egypt to capture 12.5% of the country’s notebook market share.
Fujitsu Siemens also experienced growth in the desktop market with a 46% increase in Saudi Arabia.
“Despite challenges in many global markets, our regional presence has remained strong and we are experiencing continued growth in the notebooks segment in key Middle East markets,” said Stephane Rejasse, MD for Fujitsu Siemens Computers ME, adding that he’s “confident our market share will increase through out the region.”
