Saudi college joins SAP’s University Alliance Programme

Membership to the UAP gives education institutions access to SAP's business solutions to use in the classroom. Yanbu students will be joining the approximately 150,000 students from 700 tertiary institutions who are already using SAP software.

"The Kingdom's IT sector is one of the fastest growing in the world, and skilled IT professionals are needed to help sustain this growth," said Dr. Abdulmonem Alzalabani, head of the industrial management technology department at Yanbu Industrial College.

"SAP's University Alliance Programme will help our students develop a competitive edge. With proper SAP training, our future generation will possess the right skill sets to become business informatics experts," added Alzabani.

According to SAP, graduating students will gain an understanding of how technology can facilitate integrated business processes and strategic thinking that will improve their chances for post-graduate employment.

"Saudi Arabia remains a thriving modern economy," said Sergio Maccotta, managing director, SAP Middle East and North Africa. "SAP is committed to generating a base of workers capable of building an IT infrastructure to support this rapidly expanding economy."
