Emaar postpones AGM amid 'planning' issues

Emaar, the largest developer in the Middle East, said on Thursday it had postponed its annual general meeting to the end of April "for reasons of planning".
In an emailed statement to Arabian Business the property company said: "The board of directors of Emaar have decided to reschedule the annual general meeting (AGM) previously scheduled for March 24, 2009 to end of April 2009 for reasons of planning and proper scheduling of various efforts required to ensure a successful AGM."
The board of directors will decide a new date and shareholders will be informed, the company said, adding that the agenda for meeting "will remain unchanged".
At 11.24am on Thursday, Emaar shares were 1.49 percent down at AED1.99.
