The latest Windows 7 build, which may be the first release candidate of Microsoft's highly-anticipated operating system, has been leaked to several file-sharing websites.

Build 7057, which had both 32- and 64-bit copies leaked, shows the end-user licensing agreement labelled with ‘Microsoft Windows 7 Operating System Release Candidate 1’.

A quick search on Mininova, one of the most popular torrent search engine on the net, revealed fourteen torrents related to the leaked build, with some crossing more than 1,000 downloads each.

Build 7000 was finalised and offered to the general public as a beta download for a few weeks in January. All builds after 7000 are attributed to release candidates of the OS.

Since the Windows 7 beta release, Microsoft revealed that twenty seven changes have been made to the release candidate.

Leaks related to Windows 7 have been a serious issue ever since news of the OS broke, with previews being handed out in October 2008 at Microsoft’s Professional Developers Conference.

According to reputed Windows website Neowin.net, Microsoft is expected to officially deliver a Windows 7 release candidate to the general public in late May.

"Mininova, one of the most popular torrent search engine on the net"
Wasn't mininova dead? Or at least flooded with virii and spyware.
TPB and Isohunt are the biggest, without doubt.
