“Dubai and Jafza in particular, is well placed with the region’s largest container port offering all forms of logistical support to companies looking for easy access to Middle East, West Asia, the CIS and African markets. These facilities will fully support Scania’s growth aspirations in the region,” said Salma Hareb, CEO of Economic Zones World.

The Scania assembly plant is the Swedish auto giant’s first such facility in the region.

Scania is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of trucks and buses for heavy transport applications, and of industrial and marine engines.
