DEDICATED WEBSITE: Sheikh Mohammed has launched his own website where all official information on himself and the federal government will be posted. (AFP)

An official website for Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, vice president and prime minister of the UAE, has been launched to improve communication with citizens and media.

The website www.uaepm.ae, launched on Friday, will be the official source of all information related to Sheikh Mohammed and the federal government, according to a press statement from the prime minster;s office.

The site is also intended to boost "effective communication” between the Ruler of Dubai, the emirate’s residents, outside audiences and the media, it said.

The website, available in both Arabic and English, sets out the roles and responsibilities of the vice president and prime ministerial offices, as well as providing daily news on Sheikh Mohammed’s activities and latest developments at the federal government.

In a bid to encourage public interaction a page has been set up where people can send their questions, comments and suggestions directly to Sheikh Mohammed on any matter related to the federal government of the UAE, the statement said.

Journalists are also able to submit questions on the federal government, its strategy, direction, and the affairs of various ministers through a media e-session facility on the website.

The Prime Minister’s office will consider all media questions and then publish answers “periodically” on the website.

“The official website of the prime minister of the UAE presents one of the most important government communication tools utilized by the Federal Government to disseminate accurate information about His Highness in his capacity as the Prime Minister of the UAE,” the statement said.

“The website will be used to project the directions, vision, and positions of His Highness on all the issues facing the federal government,” it added.

This is truly a great step ,and a commendable one ,to be in communication with the people .
We always expect great things from H.E Sheikh Mohammed .
This opportunity to be in contact should be used wisely by the people and not for petty matters or personal matters, which are not related to the country or the benefit of the country.
I am making it as my favourite site.
Thank You
Wonderful Step
