The World Development Forum, organisers of the Virtix.com virtual expo, is expecting 3,000 delegates to attend the show during the three-day launch in May.
Virtix.com is expected to bring in close to 3,000 virtual delegates during the live period and 50,000 in the following six months, according to the World Development Forum (WDF), organisers of the show.
“This is the first virtual event, so there is nothing to benchmark against, but based on what we are doing we are expecting almost 3,000 in the live period,” said Khaled Eid, managing director of the WDF.
The live period is the first three days of the conference, when live presenters will be delivering video-streamed keynotes over the web and exhibitors will have staff manning virtual stalls. After the live show winds down the conference will still be available for six months, minus the virtual presenters and exhibitors.
“Most of the people who are in the IT industry will have an idea what Virtix is and that there is a virtual event coming, our plan is to have 50,000 visitors in the first 6 months,” added Eid.
