du has signed a deal with Injazat Data Systems to host its critical systems in a top-level data centre to ensure business continuity.

As part of a three year contract, Injazat will be responsible for providing du with managed collocation services at its new Tier IV data centre. Tier IV data centres, referring to standardized methodology used to define uptime, provide 99.995% availability.

“We are honored to be entrusted with the task of hosting du’s mission-critical systems in the Middle East’s first Tier IV Data Centre. We have the capability to ensure that du systems stay online as the company provides vital telecommunication services to its customers,” said Ibrahim Mohamed Lari, CEO, Injazat Data Systems.

Based in Abu Dhabi, the fault-tolerant data centre is the first commercially-available facility of its kind outside of North America and will support reliable and secure IT managed services round the clock.

“We operate in a 24/7 service-oriented business environment that allows no room for service downtime. Through this agreement with Injazat, we are establishing a system that will ensure our continued success and raise the bar for telecom service levels in the UAE,” added Osman Sultan, CEO, du.
