Westcon trains up Motorola channel

Value added distributor Westcon ME has held a training session for channel partners with the intention of boosting skills on Motorola’s Enterprise Mobility Solutions.

The training which took place in Dubai involved the pair demonstrating the capabilities of Motorola’s wireless LAN solutions, products and services, with the aim of improving the knowledge and value that partners are able to offer their end-user customers.

“Today’s highly competitive business climate requires more communications flexibility,” asserted Steve Lockie, managing director at the Westcon Group. “Motorola’s wireless offerings assure users of safe, secure, seamless and superior wireless connectivity that can easily adjust to changing physical environments. We will continue to work on upholding Motorola’s leadership in the wireless field in the MEA region,” he added.

During the event, Westcon — which is a subsidiary of international networking and IT services group of Datatec — also demonstrated its ability to efficiently market Motorola’s wireless portfolio.

Motorola suggests that the training was called for due to the extensive nature of its wireless LAN solutions and in order to keep partners up to date with developments in the range.

“We recognise the importance of reliable, secured and highly manageable information in maintaining business viability,” said Adnon Dow, Motorola’s director for Advanced Technologies EMEA. “Motorola EMS along with Westcon ME’s extensive experience and expertise makes it a perfect partner for our expansion efforts into the Arab markets.”
