Toshiba Electronics Europe has awarded Goodram Middle East (GME) distribution rights for its full range of memory products in the Middle East and Africa.

The distributor — a subsidiary of Poland-based Wilk Electronik that launched in the Middle East almost two years ago — will be responsible for marketing Toshiba’s SD cards and USB flash drives in the region from its premises in Jebel Ali.

GME will offer the vendor’s USB TransMemory product with a capacity of up to 16GB, as well as its SD/SDHC micro cards, which are available in several capacities up to 32GB.

“Our demanding customers from the Middle East and Africa regions appreciate, primarily, the quality, and the Toshiba brand is a guarantee of the highest parameters and technological advances,” said Nizar Nairoukh, director at GME.

Toshiba has a strong legacy in the memory market, having developed versions of NAND flash memory for almost 25 years. Its cards and USB drives are commonly applied in phones, cameras and PCs, while its memory cards can guarantee transfers at a write speed of 20MB per second.
