Consumables and supplies distributor Despec MERA has dished out awards to its top-selling partners following the recent conclusion of its Middle East Loyalty Programme.
The Jebel Ali-based distributor hosted an awards night with a difference by handing out accolades and then treating resellers to a showing of Cirque Du Soleil in Dubai.
Despec is pledging to launch the Loyalty Programme again later this year following its success over recent months. It developed the scheme to expand the SME channel by allocating points for every US$10,000 order, which resellers were then able to convert into prizes such as mobile phones and holidays.
Al Falak Electronic Equipment and Al Suwaidi earned ‘Platinum’ status on the programme after recording the largest volumes. Both walked away with a set of keys to a new car after amassing 345,000 and 285,000 points respectively.
More than 30 partners picked up prizes for achieving in excess of 10,000 points, including City Centre Electronic Service, Badri Office Supplies, Integral Business Systems, Al Rabbah Computer and Al Alamiah Technology Group.
Despec MERA registered sales of US$145m last year and has authorised contracts with all of the major consumables brands including HP, Lexmark, Canon and Epson.
