Indian carrier Jet Airways is launching daily direct flights between Chennai and Dubai this month, the airline announced on Sunday.
The service, which starts on April 23, will be carried out using a Boeing 737-800 aircraft. Flights will depart Dubai at 4.30pm and arrive in Chennai at 10.15pm.
The return journey leaves at 12.45pm and lands in Dubai at 15.30pm.
A special price for economy return will be available on the opening three days from April 23.
Flights with return dates on or before May 31 will cost AED860 ($234), inclusive of taxes, while the price for premiere tickets will be AED1,360 ($370).
“Jet Airways has already established itself as a formidable brand in the intensely competitive Gulf-India sector in a relatively short period of time, on account of the warmth of its service and quality of its in-flight product,” said Abraham Joseph, Jet Airways’ senior general manager.
“We are confident that the new Dubai-Chennai service will prove similarly popular with passengers. Our focus remains on strategic growth that meets travellers' needs by offering the best schedules, more choice of destinations for their convenience,” he added.
