Middle East mobile phone retailer Axiom Telecom is doing more than just weathering the financial storm by announcing ambitious plans to open 135 new retail outlets.
The new stores, which will be predominantly in India and Saudi Arabia, will bring the total number of Axiom retails stores to more than 900.
Axiom CEO Faisal Al Bannai, believes the next 12 months will see appreciable consolidation across the region’s mobile phone sector, which will drive further market share opportunities for the company.
“We want to be the market leader in every country in which we operate. Our strategy is to be the best, not to be present in every country for the sake of market representation,” commented Al Bannai.
The company, which was established in 1997, has a presence in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, London and India.
