Targeting the burgeoning expatriate population in the UAE, the country’s second mobile operator du has just launched a new monthly mobile package that offers customers up to 75% rewards on international calls.
The Elite plan will cost AED 125, with nearly that entire amount paid back to subscribers in the form of AED 124 credit. The package comes with 55 national calls, 55 national SMS and 5 MB of data usage every month, along with up to 75% rewards on international calls.
Customers can choose their very own number for free from 150,000 available options but will need to commit to a monthly spending amount - AED 1,000 for a gold number, AED 500 for silver, AED 200 for bronze, while regular numbers will not need a minimum monthly commitment.
One of the most striking aspect of the Elite plan is the star (*) dial feature. Combining both prepaid and postpaid plans, calls made specifically using the * dial feature will be deducted from a separate prepaid account and will not be reflected in the monthly postpaid bill. More information on the features and pricing for Elite is available on the du website.
du’s CEO Osman Sultan said the new product reflected the company’s commitment to offer the “best value for money”, with customers getting much more for what they’re already paying for.
