Aldar Properties announces $2.56bn housing project

Abu Dhabi-based Aldar Properties plans to launch a AED9.4 bn($2.56bn) housing project in the Gulf Arab emirate, its chairman said on Sunday.
"It is a AED9.4 bn project of 5,000 units for the middle class," AhmedAl Sayegh said at a real estate conference in Abu Dhbai, without giving any extra details.
The government of the emirate would finance the housing project, Sayegh told a news conference. (Reuters)
